STUDY RESULTS

The statistical value of the results gathered 6 months after the first session is as follows:

DEGREES

  • Average difference between the initial and final cellulite type: Average improvement of the cellulite according to the Fitzpatrick scale by 1.3 degrees
  • Average effectiveness scale on cellulite: 2.31 levels, average effectiveness of 50% to 80%.
  • Average scale on flaccidity, skin tightening results: 2.42 levels, average effectiveness of 5% to 80%
  • Average correction measured contour of the treated area: -0.96 cm.
  • Average correction in the control area: -0.05
  • Balanced average variation: -0.01
Cellulite Reduction and flaccidity

The improvement in the type of cellulite by one type is considered very satisfactory although the cellulite continues to be visible.

Modifications in weight and body contour are negligible. The average volume reduction is close to one centimetre.

Long-term treatment shows results basically related with an improvement in skin quality as far as texture of orange-peel skin and flaccidity, associated or not.

The patient’s comfort has been maximum compared to the accumulated experience with other systems None of the patients abandoned the treatment due to discomfort.

None of the patients experienced pain, nor did they require analgesics.

RESULT APPRAISAL

  • The mean appraisal of patient improvement at the end of treatment is around 50%.
  • The mean appraisal of patient improvement at the end of skin tightening treatment is between 50 and 80%.
  • Average scale on flaccidity, skin tightening results: 2.42 levels, average effectiveness of 5% to 80%
  • The mean appraisal of improvement on the cellulite of the physician is between 20 and 50% The mean appraisal of improvement on skin contraction of the physician is between 50 and 80%

No side effects were noted at all and the level of patient satisfaction was progressively better as the number of sessions increased. We should point out that the clinical improvements registered in the final control, six months after treatment, were superior in some cases to the three month results.

Cellulite Reduction and flaccidityThe physician’s report on the treatment is simple and safe, with application times per session of a moderate duration and with improved clinical effects for the patients which makes this treatment highly recommendable. The progressive and distributed heating of the skin probably increases the tolerance to the total number of passes and allows for better therapeutic efficiency with high patient tolerance.

In this first study, we have contrasted the possibility of performing more therapeutic passes to optimise results, as well as a different focus on skin tightening depending on the body areas treated, probably in relation with the local features of areolar fat and reticulum skin.
